Who are we?

Hey friends!

We are Darian and Andrew, and are a family of five living in Southern Ontario, Canada.

Darian is a full time beekeeper and business owner.

Andrew works at a local greenhouse facility as a production manager.

On top of both our full time jobs, we homestead on our beautiful 1-acre piece of land. We currently have a mini heard of Nigerian dwarf goats (5 goats), 1 Cayuga duck (she’s pretty awesome), 1 tom turkey (long story why we only have 1 haha), 11 laying chickens (a variety of breeds), 3 roosters and 45 chicken eggs in the incubator (a variety of layer breeds).

Currently one of our goats is being milked daily.

We have a mini orchard on our property with 12 fruit trees, and another 6 fruit tree saplings in pots. We also have a few elderberry bushes on the property.

We have 4 berry patches in raised garden beds (blueberry, raspberry, blackberry and strawberries).

We recently planted 10 hops rhizomes - we are brand new to growing hops!

We have a wonderful rhubarb patch & an asparagus patch.

We currently only have 3 vegetable raised garden beds as of now, but we will be adding lots more next year!

We have 3 beautiful children, an Australian Shephard/blue heeler mix, an cane Corso/German Shepard mix. We love to cook everything from scratch and we are a big baseball family (we’ll everyone in the house except Darian is haha). We have strong beliefs about family being our top priority. We are big into preserving, and we currently can about 60% of our yearly food.
